{ Date #5 - SHARLA KLIMT }

After I was named The Mormon Bachelor for this season I knew that I would have the chance to date some amazing women.  This had never been clearer in the journey than when I opened the door to date #5 - Sharla.  Sharla has such a positive and beautiful attitude toward everything and I knew that she would be one of my favorite dates.  It was a beautiful sunny afternoon in Los Angeles and the weather was more than ideal for what Sharla had planned for us.

Being so near to the 4th of July I knew that fireworks or 4th festivities would be worked in somehow to one of my 12 dates. Sharla directed us down to Santa Monica college where they were having a free concert and fireworks show.  From the beginning of the date it was very easy to be around Sharla because she has a sweet and sassy personality with a lot of amazing qualities.  It was super easy to see that I had instantaneous physical chemistry with her, which is really important to me, and that was very apparent throughout the entire date.  We couldn't stop touching each other's arms or hugging the entire night.  It felt so natural to be affectionate with Sharla but more than that - I felt sparks.

It all started when we arrived at SMC and Sharla made the move to hold my hand which kind of caught me off guard a little bit but in a good way.  We laughed and continued our conversation all the way to the grounds where we laid our blanket down.  The music was fun and it was magnified by the time spent with Sharla dancing and goofing off amidst crowds of random people.  We then went to the food trucks and spent an endless amount of time standing in line wondering if the line would ever start moving.  I didn't mind really because it seemed like we had so much to talk about.  It never became dull and there was no awkward silence.  We made our food order just in time for the fireworks show which was hands down one of the greatest firework displays that I have ever seen.  It went on for a good 15 minutes and I couldn’t have asked for someone more wonderful to share it with than Sharla.  After all was said and done we made our way slowly back to the car and continued to just get to know each other.  The drive back was just as pleasant as the rest of the date and if you ask me I wish I could have spent a little more time with her.  It was easy and natural to be around Sharla and nothing felt forced in the least.  There may have been friends who speculated that there was some kissing behind the scenes of the camera.  I have never been one to kiss and tell so I cannot confirm such rumors, but I can say that I would have felt comfortable kissing Sharla even though it is not my norm for a first date.  I was definitely taken by this beautiful girl.

Sharla was an absolute blast and there is no doubt in my mind that I want to bring her back for a second date but we will just have to wait and see what happens.

so basically you lead on the guy the whole date and make him believe you're totally into him and then not want to go on a second date with him?? Then why be affectionate if you didn't mean it?? Awesome. Good work.

She was obviously joking.

I absolutely loved watching this date!!! You could see that these two have a lot of chemistry together. I can't wait to see what happens on Date #2 with them. He better take Sharla to the end!!!

I hope she was being sarcastic at the end..However after watching a few more dates Chris seems like a gentleman. He seems to be relaxed more not so critical which is nice :) cant wait to see more.

If we thought Tiffany and Chris' date was Touchy-Feely, we are stumped at what to title this date! We're hoping that was some creative editing at the end cause if not...we gon' talk about you Sharla in our week 2 breakdown. Well, we gon' talk about you anyways, but tell us were you being sarcastic?

Meagan must be from Utah...just a hunch though. Get a sense of humor woman!

Love you Shar! Awesome and sweet as always.

The best part about this season are the comments from Sistas in Zion!

To those skeptics: haven't you seen a reality TV dating show?! Aren't you aware of the tricky editing? I know Sharla and I think she was being playful about a possible second date, not "leading him on." Relax and let them have fun with it. If a girl shows all her cards in the beginning, why would a guy want to chase her? Looks like those two had a fantastic time together and a great connection. Can't wait to see more!

First off, her butt doesn't quit. It has to be said.

Secondly, I hope she was honest about not wanting a second date, though that would reflect poorly on her since she went for the hand-holding. Shameful.

Thirdly, good editing on leaving us with that cliffhanger of sorts.

She's good! Put it forward, then flip it around. She obviously has taken notes from watching the ABC Bachelor.

Lastly, I thought I met this girl a couple months ago and she said she didn't know what The Mormon Bachelor was. SHADY!!... I like it!

Geoff you're always such a crack up.

When is Zack Oates going to be a part of this season? I love that guy!

There's obviously a great deal of mutual attraction and comfort between Chris and Sharla. A second date will be in the cards. (Sharla was being sarcastic, no doubt.)

Part of the fun of watching this show is NOT knowing who he wants to take out again. So, my opinion is that he either shouldn't say OR you should edit it out. Since he doesn't know what dates are still coming up, I don't think it's very cool to make comments to the girls that lead them to believe they will get another date. What if someone better comes along and he doesn't choose them? Then he just looks like a jerk.

Just kidding I think Sharla's my favorite now. I keep saying that for every new date but Sharla really is my very favorite, I think. Their chemistry is perfect!

@Andrea- Agreed! I subscribe to the comments just so I can make sure to read theirs.

she is obviously being facetious about wanting to date him again. Of course she does!

Chris.... All that heavy blushing you were doing. We are at a loss for words. If we didn't know better we would accuse ya'l of already knowing each other! Except for the awkward hugging (while ya'l were walking) and the fast dance that you (Chris) turned into a slow dance, ya'l looked spicy! Sharla, the Sistas know that you are in it to win it, but please don't play with Brotha Chris's heart. Girl, you got it like that cause Chris's cheeks stay'd on fire.... We know that Tiffany is not happy, we are putting all of ya'l's names on the prayer roll, especially yours Sista Sharla! Girl, you just turned up the HEAT! It's bout to get real!

The editing is def better on this one except for the cameraman being seen in the shadows on the shirt when they are walking. It's like a hunter stalking a cougar (quite literally in this one),

I love when someone states an opinion (don't like BYU) and then backtracks and searches for one nice thing to say about it (that American something class made me like the constitution). That indicates to me that she did like him and would love a second date or she would have argued her point. Interesting to see not if she says yes, but with how much enthusiasm she does say yes when he asks her out again.

kthxbye

I thought these two had great chemistry. Seriously though, don't bash Mormon things on The MORMON Bachelor. Utah and BYU are huge in your culture whether you are too edgy for it or not, lol.
